Guard Your Heart

Greetings,

In Ephesians 6:10-18, scripture is talking about the Armor of God, technically there are 6 pieces but in reality there is 7. Prayer ties the bow to bind it all together.

One of the pieces is the breast plate of righteousness. The breast plate guards a vital part of our body. One shot to this vital part & we are down. If our heart hurts, then it messes with our thinking and our emotions. It messes with our thinking so bad, that we can't even think straight and can lead to bad decisions. It also attacks our conscious, which is the microphone between us & God. The words on the page are just words, we don't hear God talking to us anymore.

From our heart, The well springs of life flow. Proverbs 4:23-23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

If the enemy is attacking our heart, we can't hear God talking to us & guiding our lives. Not hearing God talking to us leads to unrighteous thinking. Unrighteousness is upside down thinking which leads to the enemy coming our direction.

If we are talking one thing out of the side of our mouths but doing something totally different out the other side of our mouths, this will lead to the enemy taking over our hearts & our thought process.

If we say, "we need to get into the book & do what it tells us to do" but then still do whatevery everyone else is doing. You aren't following God, you following your own wishes. He wants obedience, not sacrifice. (1 Samual 15:22)

We are told to keep the commandments & we will live. Proverbs 4:4-“Take hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands, and you will live. We are called to live a life worthy of our calling." (Eph. 4:1)

Is the way we live out of alignment with how God wants us to live? If so, the enemy is on his way. (Luke 21:34) We are told in the Lord's prayer to pray for God's will not our own. (Matt. 6:10) We also need to forgive (Matt. 6:12). Unforgiveness leads to a spiritual cancer that lead to a physical cancer and death. We need to forigve others so our father in heaven will forive us. (Matt. 6:15, Luke 6:37)

God has lit the path before us that if we walk the path we will see his favor. Ps. 111:10-Fear is the beginning of understanding, a good understanding of those who DO his commandments. I'm not talking about just the 10 commandments but all of Torah as Yeshua kept them. Doing our own thing isn't following the path that God has laid out for us, it's following the path the enemy. Putting manmade traditions above God's commandments is doing our own thing. (Mark 7:6-9)

Ecclesiastes 12:13-Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.

Daniel 9:4-I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: “Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments,

Traditional Christiantiy likes to say that Yeshua did away with the Torah at the cross that he came to fulfill the commandments. But they don't look at the rest of that set of verses to get the whole context of that one verse. Matthew 5:17-19-17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. When I point out that heaven & earth are still here, they don't want to see that, they just look at verse 17.

Now my question to you, do you guard your heart and keep his commandments? I want to hear those words-Well done good & faithful servant. (Matt. 25:21)
